I've had great luck buying used vinyl and CDs off of both Amazon and eBay. And I'm finding that eBay is usually the best place to buy new release vinyl. During an auction I bid up to what I would pay for a buy it now at the last second - usually I get a better deal but often I am not be the high bidder. I would rather save the drama and just do a buy it now.

eBay has been trying for years to transition into a marketplace more akin to Amazon, rather than just an auction site. Partly because of that, I don't visit much any more. I don't think I've made a purchase on eBay in at least five years.
One thing that baffles me with eBay is seeing a number of listings for some particular item, with a typical price of, say, $30. Then there will be one or two listings for the same thing at $200 or $500. It's a complete mess.
I've noticed the same thing with Amazon resellers for new and used recordings- one seller will have a CD for $20, another seller for, say, $50, and another for $295. All for essentially the same item. Makes no sense, almost like the high one doesn't really want to sell the item.

Mark-
alot of eBay sellers are all about GREED!
That those in the know will buy the $20 version and laugh all the way to the CD player...

What greatly puzzles me is why a seller on Amazon would list something for several hundred dollars, when there's one (or more) listing for ten times less staring them in the face. Anyone who can read would have to be nuts to pay that much more.Mark in NC
