No...way.

Why...not?
No low bass.
I was slightly under $7500 with a pair of Focal Twin 6be near field monitors and a sub6, driven by a Mytek Stereo 192-DSD.

AFAIK the pro speaker I recommended is the powered version of the ATC SCM19--same drivers, squared-off non-veneered cabinet, plate amps.
I drove the consumer version with ATC's P1, IIRC 150Wpc power amp, and I thought that the bass was entirely adequate for nearly all listening. Now, by this I mean, in room (with room gain), the speakers sounded punchy and full on Stereophile Test CD 2's channel ID and phasing tests--41Hz.
That is one very beefy, robust, powerful woofer-mid.
That said, the bass output was lacking at 32 Hz and pretty non-existent at 27.5 Hz.
So, compared to a subwoofer system, there will be a quantitative difference, but I have never heard a mono subwoofer system sound convincing on classical music.
Horses for courses. That the ATC speakers are made with their own drivers and everything is made in the UK I think gives a pride of ownership benefit, as does the fact that Grace makes its products in Colorado.
I think my system nails it for a high-performance, high-value system, but everyone is free to have their own ideas.

That's the SCM7 woofer; this is the SCM19/20's:

Maybe it goes better than my Focal twins (which have two 6.5" drivers). I could not get them to sound right in my room. When I added the 11" sub then I was able to get flat response down to a bit below 30 Hz which is what I wanted. I think this was as much room dependent as speaker dependent.
It is very nice to get row 1 concert volume at the listening position with head room to spare. Playback levels are limited solely by taste and ear damage and not system capability. I never had this situation before, but it does help to have 1100 watts of power driving speakers 1 meter from one's ears. Best not to abuse this situation...

Quoted under Fair Use from TAS' August 2014 issue:
The 19’s lack of a true bottom octave obviously limits its ultimate bass extension, but the 19 descends into the midbass region with perceivable output into the upper forty-cycle range (piano aficionados take note). Where most compacts come up painfully short in attempting to reproduce the brooding weight and resonance of a cello, the SCM19 captures the most critical aspects of its timbre and dark harmonics. On something like the Ray Brown Trio’s Soular Energy [Groove Note] this acoustic-suspension design also ensures a tight, tuneful bass that few ported models can match.
