nice, how's the Roland on the Ref 3.5's? The Bel Canto REF 500s I use sounds pretty good, was the most economical for my budget.
Follow Ups:
The JRDG 501's are supplemented by the PC-1 Rectifier/Conditioners which can be seen in the bottom of the equipment rack beneath the Audience aR12 unit. The amps only accept a balanced signal and are run directly by that highly modified Wadia unit. Given all that, I have no issues with power, control or clarity throughout the entire frequency range with the Ref 3.5's.
The purpose built room helps here with a concrete floor covered with porcelain tiles, 2 x 6 framing with acoustic strips between the studs and wallboard set against cement blocks in the outside wall. The space is treated with GIK Acoustic panels. The room is very inert which makes for a very clear presentation.
Those ballistic rubber blocks used as speaker stands made a very significant difference on the Ref 3.5's overall presentation given their inert structure and height.
The woofer has the best of care with regular exercise and input with only premium quality energy sources!
That woofer looks like he or she needs a good body rub. Stomach rub down.My amp sounds a bit dark but I like it. Was thinking about your power reserves with that setup. Must be something else really cool setup you have over there. One thing I have to say is Gallo is going to come out with another reference flagship. I will try no biting. If it happens that I get rabies I will have to get the Bel Canto REF 1000 monoblocks and plug them new realities in. The Ref 3.5 are heavy so I think they will at that point have to move to the next room.
Nice system. Hope you really spend some quality time with your woofer ;). If I had a woofer I would feed it filet mignon.

Those Gallo Ref 3.5 replacements have been a very long time in coming. They will have to be a significant improvement for me to upgrade. I do not know how much more could be done to improve the 3.5's if the current design concept is retained. For me, height was the biggest issue which those ballistic rubber blocks took care of nicely.
The JRDG sustain 500 watts each for the Ref 3.5's rated impedance. They are not dark sounding but quite open and effortless.
The room doubles as a library for my book collection. I have included a pic of the sweet spot.
The woofer has a complimentary female partner of approximately the same size!
the Gallo I don't know what is up his sleeve. We'll have to wait and see, I agree if it is like a Ref 4.0 or something using same design I will hold off, probably even if it is another completely new design I maybe would hold off too.
here's my listening chair (couch), I went with the Scarface film type of look in my listening room, black lamp shade, black leather and black curtains. Couch has a projector which I rarely use sitting on the fold down cup holder.
again we will have to see what Anthony comes up with, I'm not sure what to think at this point.
This is the very limited information I have found on a new Ref 4. it is on the Gallo website in Australia.
