the big mono blocs are sure impressive just to look at. If I had them, I wouldn't care how they sound.

interesting definition of bliss.....
by the way, from your system, i see you don't have CIAudio power amp - any reason?

Well, the Cary CAA1 was bought as a experiment just to see what a ice amp sounds like. I ended up kind of liking it, very smooth and none fatiguing.
Since I added the CIAudio passive pre, which is also my first time trying a passive, I have though about the CIAudio amps, but I really do not want mono blocs for this system, I just have no more power outlets for another power supply. If they made a stereo version I may try one.
AB.
I listened to the 600 wpc monos with the B&W 802diamonds and the music just effortlessly oozed out of the speakers into the room.
Then they tried to tell me how good the Rotel gear was and it would be hard to tell the difference for the money. WRONG! They used the latest Rotel Separates and CDP driving the B&W803Ds and the same music struggled to get out of the speakers compared to the Mc System.
The 3rd setup they had was with the Mc 3channel amp driving Sonus Faber Olymipca IIIs which was also very nice but I did not get to spend enough time with that setup to hear what all the rave on the Olympicas is all about. I thought the 802Ds sounded pretty damn good but I suppose if the SFs were driven with the 600wpc monos, they would have shined better.
I guess I will have to go back and take a listen. I just walked by and took a quick look.
