What he does - rap - he seems to do better than pretty much anyone else.
Not a fan of rap (though my wife is), but I have respect for what he tries to communicate with his performances & perhaps even bigger respect for his being able to execute those performances with great precision.
Follow Ups:
130 million albums sold.
Not sure what he's doing wrong.
Read the story, "The Emperor's New Clothes".... The media deemed Eminem "popular", and then the masses piled on.Aside from maybe some moments with lyric writing, I cannot think of a notable artistic quality with this individual. I don't care how many Grammys he may have won.
With those who have been awarded Grammys in recent time, the award has become meaningless, in my eyes.

Part of being popular with the kids is having the parents hate it. He had 2 good albums in the early 2000s The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show. Even then, some of the songs were pretty terrible. What he has is called Flow as well as humor. He influenced about every act in his genera (and beyond). You don't have to like him, but he is the Elvis of the Millennial generation.
