He cannot move it at all. I had a 120lb. 27" monitor with a decent picture. Kinda big and super heavy.

I had a 27 w/component ins, weighed a lot.

I had a 34" widescreen Sony XBR HDTV that had a superb picture and worked perfectly but we moved on to Plasma at that time. I am thankful that it fetched $300 via Crag's List since you can hardly give away CRT TVs nowadays.
you had the HD 16X9, big diff. Man they weighed a ton.

Yes, it was 16:9 HD. That XBR was a back breaker and I dreaded the thought of moving it, even with the help of a friend. It must have been around 200 pounds!
I had the 36" XBR from the first year it was out. I honestly had to consider lugging it around with me when making moving decisions. Like, "is it really worth buying a house if I have to move the TV again?" It finally died just a few months ago. It was an awesome TV pre-HD.

The TV weighed a little more then 200lbs and the stand another 50lbs.
I never had any problems moving my SONY KV34XBR TV.
I put 14 2" ball caster (6 for the front of the stand, the rest along the back) under the stand before I put the TV on the stand.
It was even easy to move around on carpeting.
The heavy SONY was thrown out long ago, but I kept the stand and now have
a 43" Panasonic Plasma on it.
The Panasonic is screwed securely to the SONY base.
Now it's even easier to move around.
My 2.5 year old granddaughter stands on the front of the TV stand
while trying to get at the characters she sees in the Plasma.
I have to clean a lot of hand prints off the TV, but she sure enjoys
trying to play along with the characters in the TV.
