Recently, there was another one of those lamentation threads about knowledgeable Inmates of the past and how far the Asylum has fallen.
I feel we still have a pretty good knowledge base among us but one who should be singled-out for the depth and breadth of his contributions is the aforesaid "uncle".
Doesn't matter if it's polyphony, vintage gear, the latest goings on at manufacturers of all shapes and sizes or how to properly insert tab A in slot B, unclestu is a man among men.

As the saying goes, lucky you live Hawaii. Hawaii is lucky to have unclestu. For more information by unclestu, read his posts under the name unclestu52.
The same can be said for Audiogon.
I appreciate his helpful, knowledgeable information since I am abysmally ignorant about things electrical. Constructive information and criticism are a boon for those of us who are severely electrically challenged.
Whenever I've read "unclestu," I've subvocalized it as "un-cles-tyou", which I could never figure out. Thanks for clearing-up the pronounciation for me!

He's been on my favorites list ever since way back when he made greenbacks. A damn good egg.

I agree. He has had to put up with the occasional flat earth comments but keeps giving us good advice. Thanks Stu
