although none big enough to affect my blood pressure.
* Posts asking "What is the best X component?" If one individual component was truly the best wouldn't it dominate the market, at least within its price range? There are too many issues of design interface, sonic system compatibility, and personal taste preferences to identify anything as "the best". Also see my tag line quote from the venerable HP.
* Referring to the wall behind the speakers as the back wall. Who is talking here, the listener or the speakers? And if you want to call those the back wall then what do you then call the wall behind you when listening?
* Ads claiming the component offered is the "perfect" answer for anyone looking for new speakers, amp, etc. See my first peeve above.
* Use of the description "minty" for a record or older component. To me that implies "tastes like mint"!
Whew, glad I got those off my chest so thanks slapshot. ;^)
"You can’t know what the “best” is unless you have heard everything, and keep in mind that given individual tastes, there really isn’t any such thing." HP

This reminds me of a cat ad I saw recently, stating it was "spade"........
