"EVERYONE"? You know this? You are trying to promote this idea (for whatever reason), but what proof do you have that they've ever treated anyone (except maybe this one guy) in a bad or discourteous way? And I'm talking about what might be considered trustworthy "proof" in an instance like this, such as the testimony or corroborations of several people?
You are simply taking this guys word for everything, you have never visited the place yourself, you have never personally met or talked to anyone there. For all you now the guy you're defending has made up the entire story.
Well?

You misunderstand. If they're not to take him at his word as you suggest, then they can't very well take anyone else at their word. So it would follow that everyone be treated with the same suspicion and hostility.
No, it does not follow. This is you following YOU, that's all. Why should we make such an assumption? And why are YOU so interested in promoting this idea?Actually, you don't *know* any of this to be true, that much is obvious. Does anyone (except for Marco and the merchant) really *know* anything about this thing? No they do not.
It seems as if you've chosen to defend someone who you don't really know just because he's a member of the club that you've sworn allegiance to. You accuse someone whom you've never personally met, for reasons I don't even want to fathom. You show no real discretion, you don't bother to think things through because you'd rather jump to conclusions, and you promote possibilities instead of facts. Maliciousness defined.
