My knee jerk reaction based on some of the responses was to side with the store owners, but when I read what he actually wrote, he isn't scorching them so there isn't really a He vs. Them going on here.

Yeah, he admitted they had a point on the original concern, but when he said if he wrote anything, he would only mention Stereo Exchange, giving them a nice marketing opportunity, they kicked him in the teeth and showed him the door. They even treated him like shit when he wrote an email to apologize.
