Mike disagrees with me but I have never thought my Teresonics are very digital friendly. I would agree that they sounded bright at the show on day one, a little better today, but I'll keep listening to mine with vinyl and 300Bs.
By the way the most common comment I heard all day from those attending was that most of the rooms were too bright. I'll get in trouble for saying this, but could it be all the computer based sources?

Yes, all the digital based rooms sounded too bright, but were still not as alive as the analogue ones. In addition, the digital AND ss based systems sounded closed-in. The music never floated or bloomed the way it does live. "Music" via digital or ss (the ss SET was an exception) sounded forced and strained. The music via tubes and analogue was effortless and relaxed the way live music is. In the AN room with the Triangle tt and MC cartridge, my "Chet" cut had a dynamic range of 30 dB. Chet's trumpet and Pepper Adams' baritone sax had the same kind of three-diminsional impact that a trumpet and sax can have live. The AN speakers were very coherent and dynamic. They effortlessly loaded the room. When I heard the Teresonic speakers at the first CAS, with a tt and Benz cartridge, the sound was similar to what I heard in the Triangle/AN room this year. Plus, that Teresonic speaker is quite beautiful. My wife loves the way they look.
Having owned both the Audio Note Es and the Teresonic Ingeniums I would agree with your assessments. These are two of the most musical speakers I have ever I in my house. I should add to that list the DeVore Orangutan O/96s.
