As long as you do not touch or move anything...the dust settles evenly...takes that annoying sheen off your components...besides the obvious benefit of additional damping factor...

so the occasional dusting using the properly approved audiophile cloth (a veil, lightly applied and... lifted) can, will and should suffice.

Why should anyone really care? It's only a name. And a meaningless one at that. What we are writing about is music and equipment in its myriad combinations and expressions. What people like and what they don't like. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Actually that is when I am taking it apart for some reason. Then I clean up around it before putting it back. Usually i like a nice thick blanket of dust on everything. (except the TT platter.)
