All triodes have non-linear negative feedback built into them via the plate resistance.
It is not possible in the real world to utilize a triode without using NFB because the plate resistance would have to be zero which is never going to happen.
Personally I don't care enough about tube amps to dig deeper into this.

The real problem is the lack of linearity in transistors. Triodes are closer to linear (although they too are not linear) than either MOSFET or bipolar transistors. THis is a simple fact of physics as well. WHat it means is that it is far easier to use Tubes with little or no external feedback and this has significant impact on the sound. You can do MOSFETs without feedback in Class A and it works well but I don't know of anyone using bipolars without feedback...they are grossly non-linear. Read the paper by Boyk and Sussmann for a decent explanation of the differences (it is most about transistors...2/3rd of it). For sure Pentodes are also quite non-linear and probably have to be used with feedback. It is also why most companies don't run them in pure pentode mode (they use ultralinear or even wire them to behave as triodes).
I love it when people end their debate with "Personally I don't care enough about tube amps to dig deeper into this." It tells me that you prefer to keep your ostrich head buried in the sand. Just keep repeating the mantra "It measures better it MUST sound better" 100 times with a few hail Marys thrown in for good measure.
