Vinyl resurgence continues.
Sister Ray Records, London has new shop opening soon in Shoreditch next to the Ace Hotel. Great for Vinyl lovers as the hotel has a turntable in every room with a selection to spin and vintage furniture. The bar/restaurant ain't bad too.
If you're in London, book a room as you're 2 minutes from Kingsland road and the heart of trendy London and welcome to come listen to my system too.
Keep spinning.

Funny, those rooms in the Ace look like a throwback to the days of "Clockwork Orange".And, what is the name of that huge phallic symbol shown on the Shoreditch homepage?

That thing is 30 St Mary Axe aka 'The Gherkin', a 41 storey building designed by Norman Foster.
It is the most recognisable of Londons modern buildings and in '05 a survey of the world's largest architecture firms voted it the 'most admired new building in the world'.
Like so many wonders it's the type of thing that one must see in person, I'm sure. This photo seems to indicate that fabulous things are happening in London...
Personally I would have given it some fins and writen 'ACME' along its side to make it look like a giant cartoon space rocket.
Vinyl in every room, how terribly absurd, but then again trends usually are.
The hotel would proudly have chamber pots in every room if they were trending.
I checked out their web site and indeed, the room pictures show turntables and vinyl racks in the rooms. Amazing. Thanks for the travel tip.
