Happy Canada Day! One hundred and forty - seven years old.
Follow Ups:
Great motorcycle vacation in 1981. The incredibly polite Mounted Police ticketed us four times for speed on your magnificent Rocky Mountain roads. I still have three of those tickets. I used the forth to shim a body part on one of those broke down Harley's on their way to Sturgis.
Those Harley folks never waved back on the road while they were moving, but when they broke down. Are they still like that?
You mean are they still like: http://www.goingfaster.com/angst/halfharley.htm
I don't think so, but you have to ask some 60 year old businessman, they're the one that drive them. LOL
Never trust an Atom, they Make Up everything!
Just a tad of perspective.
Still, I'd prefer 147 of the Canada's for the 5 millennia of the land of the Pharaohs.

Yup, minus Harpeur.
29 degrees out and American cousins think? WTF?
Cheers, everyone!

I am down here in southern Ohio and it is upper 50's at night, perfect for sleeping. Love it.
cocktail + sweet spot = fun and relaxation!
So, you like the 84 degree weather, do you?
It's in the high 80's today here in the mid-west...

Celsius to Fahrenheit. Double and add 30.
Fahrenheit to Celsius. Subtract 30 and dived by 2.
It works between 5-30C where you'll find it pretty pretty close up to being off only a few degrees F the higher you go. it's a good estimator tool.
In Canada we use the metric system but I prefer lbs, feet, inches and mph. However, I prefer Celsius because it's actually a lot easier to think of 0 as the freezing point of water and go from there. It's because publishers didn't want to change all those Orwell Books to Celsius 232.78 I tell ya.
For more accuracy Method 2
°F to °C Deduct 32, then multiply by 5, then divide by 9
°C to °F Multiply by 9, then divide by 5, then add 32
I like the first one best cause method two makes my head hurt.
90 hours without power.
my elderly Mother fell, shivering and broke 3 ribs. easy way to get a warm bed in the hospital, until the new year. Myself dealing with an inflamed SI joint.
bring it on! 80, 90, 100! Lovin' it. Despite cutting down on my listening time ;> (
Leveling patio stones tomorrow!
Cheers, Brothers!

Happy Birthday to us. The temperature now, with the Humidex, is a cool 104F and getting warmer. Sitting inside the air conditioned splendor of Chateau Ken- the wife and I may go see some fireworks latter if thecalled for T-storms don't get too serious.
Perhaps a Torontonian or nearby?
I originally hail from St. Catharines, and now find Wichita Kansas (on par with your humidex,BTW) home for now... Gotta love moving to find a career rather than the career finding me!

I am in a hamlet on the St. Lawrence River between Upper Canada Village and Cornwall.
I am familiar with the area around Cornwall- I travelled through there a few times on the way to and from Montreal for bands (many years ago, as a bass guitarist whose hair was fuller and darker) and for my interviews with the U.S. Consulate (to get my Green Card).
Enjoy the summer!

No Canada day for those "relocated" Canadians, especially in Wichita, KS right now (stuck at work, but making the most of trying to do as little as possible today)...
Happy Canada Day to my AA buddies north of the border!

Happy Canada Day to you as well. I am living in Hong Kong and it was nice enough of them to give me Canada Day off. Here the holiday is "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day"
Eesh - but I'll just pretend they're celebrating Canada.
I put some Blue Rodeo and Sarah McLachlan on the spinner and had some Maple Tea.
I saw Sarah at the Greek Theater at UC Berkeley last Friday - GREAT Show!
Happy Canada day
Nice, if only she could come here to Hong Kong. I've seen her twice in Canada so I'm happy.
If you don't already know it try and get Blue Rodeo's "Five Days in July" - Sarah sings a few of the cuts here and is a back up singer on others.
This is one of my favorites
