My unit was sent in for service in July of 2012. After many months of empty promises and excuses, and refusal to respond to my requests to send back my unit as-is at my own expense. I've filed a complaint against PurePower Partners with the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Services (Canada's equivalent of Consumer Protection Agency), as well as with Ontarios's Better Business Bureau.
I know that there are others who are in the same situation, I would like to organize our efforts to get PurePower to resolve these matters. If you haven't done so already, I would encourage you to file the complaints with the two entities I have identified above ASAP. We can then discuss about further options including filing suits at the small claims court.
Follow Ups:
Our company was the manufacturer of the Pure Power systems, but have ceased to cooperate with the Canadian company owned by Richard and Damian. They ordered many units from us but failed to send us payment. In total, they owe us more than USD $150,000. We are also victims and understand how you feel.
Our new model, Pro Power series is out and available.
We take customer's concerns very seriously, so we strive to offer the best support of our products.
Again, I'm sorry that you had to go through the ordeal as we had. We hope that we can provide a better service to our customers!

Well, it is rather sad state of affairs especially since their products do sound very nice. In my system better than the PS Audio P5 & smaller of the Accuphase power conditioner.
My local dealer ordered & paid in full for 5 units more than a year ago but until now has not received the items despite many emails & phone calls.
I hunted down 1 unit brand new from Australia & shipped the unit to Malaysia only to have it blow a couple of transistors (which may have been my own fault but maybe not) but cannot get any service support. Local repairer emailed & called but no response. They do not have a service manual.
Horror stories all round - but the product sounds good - very unfortunate.
Anyone found anything better ? Please recommend to me.
Regards,
Joe Ling
This guy will service your unit he replied to me with the same problem only week or so ago

Thanks for your continued support for our products!
Regarding your questions:
A. Yes, we can repair and service units. We send the latest revision boards and parts for replacement.
B. If required, you can send the unit to our office/lab in Taiwan. It is usually cheaper to ship without the batteries.
I'm also forwarding this email to our sales manager, Vincent, he can also answer any questions you may have.
We are also nearing completion of new generation audio power units, Vincent can provide you with more information.
Best Regards,
Aaron
I have to say that I have been promised replacement batteries for my PP2000 unit for many months. They were supposed to be shipped the week after ordering. When I actually catch someone on the phone (I don't get email responses), they promise they will ship shortly. I just gave up on it. I was buying them for spares...point is, there seems to be something funny going on. This OP story does not really surprise me. Really a shame because the product works incredibly well!!
I will be very disappointed if this is deleted.
You are not a verbal rabble-rouser and this is something people need to know.
If this is a community, and I think at its best it is, this is what we should do for others.
I do know you are far from alone with your problem.
A case where safety in numbers has a place.
Best of luck to you.

'Which company' is right. One letter difference between the 2 companies websites:
http://www.purepoweraps.com/ (Canada)
http://www.purepoweravps.com/ (Taiwan)
Good lovin' gone bad, a messy divorce, a trademark & legal battle...
The original marketing guy and the one 'involved' with the Taiwan company is still active:
http://trgmarketing.com/about-trg/
Reminds me of the Audio Note (UK) vs. Audio Note Japan (Kondo) battle.
Apparently my action to post this on several other boards is considered a bad behavior. The intent was not to bash or take revenge on the manufacturer/vendor, but to unite the folks that have experienced the same issues with this same manufacturer for action.
If you deem that this post is inappropriate, please feel free to remove, as other audio boards have done so. But I would appreciate your advice on how I can use the board to reach out to others who are in the same shoe.
Thanks,
FrankC
Don't know if your post on this board will be deleted or not. But putting the same post on multiple boards is against forum rules (and has been for as long as I've been visiting here - almost 9 years).

I meant other audio discussion websites, not within AA.

Why is it bad form - why are other forums boot licking manufacturers/dealers. Guess they must be getting paid off. Hopefully AA is better.
You should try posting this on the Canadian forum canuckaudiomart.com
Or at the very least be allowed to say something like "Important notice for PurePower customers - and then ask those owners to be able to PM you on their systems or give them your e-mail. That way - owners can get together and discuss the matter and the manufacturer is protected from "possible" wrong doing of be publicly slammed (after all no one on a forum has gotten both sides and even if we did we still wouldn't be able to know which side is the truth). The court decision would be the arbiter.
Don't know if it will help but I sent them an email with a link to your post telling them because of your post I have lost interest in their product.
