Teflons keep breaking in for months. I use teflons as well but in the phono stage better to use paper in oil there..Are you using the Russian FT2s, or the Vcap,or the multi cap teflons?
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.

Had great results with Mundorf silver / oil in my SET amp but I'm looking for something less "rich" for my phono. My analog setup has tons of body, so I'm looking for caps that are very resolving, even a little cold, Heaven help me. Price is reasonable for (non-Russian) teflons. I'll report my observations, so to speak. Cheers.
The Russian teflons are great as inexpensive bypass caps, and can lend a tremendous increase in transparency and top end sparkle when used to bypass a regular coupling cap. However, they do have a slight bit of hardness at loud volumes that other teflons (like V-Caps) do not have - at a much higher price point, of course. Also, the Russian teflons by themselves do not really have adequate bass, so I would not suggest using them as anything other than a bypass.

The FT2s have a bit of hardness at first but that dissipates after a long break in..If you mix them with k40 pio caps in other parts of the circuit,it creates a very nice balance..I also like the SonicCap Plats which are also teflons.
