I was going to mention that but some state inspectors can be jerks.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.
One can't help wondering if state inspectors would be upset if there was no cover on a circuit breaker panel. And if there were stickers on the panel with WA in big letters. Hmmmmm...
