Go get some cheap tamper resistant sockets put them in..Once the inspector signs off the forms, wait a few days and put your audio grade sockets back in.You can also get those plastic dummy plug inserts that go in the socket when not in use.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.

Righto! Funny no one mentioned that.
a Quantum Current Dispersion Safety Apparatus, or QCDSA, get it UL approved and sell it on audiogon for audiophiles with inquisitive children. and building inspectors. There's probably a buck in it. And the tiny lives you could save...
Been there, done that. Thanks, anyway.

As a teacher in school once told me, after I handed in my book report:
"You would have known that answer, had you actually read the book!"

I was going to mention that but some state inspectors can be jerks.

One can't help wondering if state inspectors would be upset if there was no cover on a circuit breaker panel. And if there were stickers on the panel with WA in big letters. Hmmmmm...
:-)
Who knows.
