They have a corner, for now, on advertising for audio equipment, giving them leeway to act as the dumb asses they are in deciding what they post on the forums. And, no, I don't want to hear all this bs about how it is a business.
Long live AA!

Oh you again, can't start a troll on Outside so have to bug me here. So did you get what you were trolling for the other day, confirmation of your belief that, aside from being unethical, lawyers are unintelligent?
Large thread on Zu speakers, with lots of useful info, deleted recently. Was a dealer on it who started getting slammed by some posters. ZAP! You're silenced. Not only is everything made in China, now even the forums are going commie on us.
Hukk
By trying to be more and more like ebay. I recently saw someone trying to sell an internet domain on Agon.I personally am pretty anti Ebay - for various and sundry reasons and I think a lot of other long time Agon members are as well. The more Agon tries to emulate Ebay the more they lose ground - and they just can't seem to figure that out.
Next thing you know we will be seeing nothing but individual listings for CD's, Albums, manuals, and a quad of tubes listed individually.
It's a shame - I used to love Agon where you could make a deal on a conversation and a hand shake and 99% of time run into no problems!
Well good!
Their forums suck & are edited. I have much better luck selling on e-bay.
and sold my Magnepan 0.5 speakers there. Didn't even think to use Audiogon because the selling/buying experience is so different than eBay. They seem to be very selective as to whom can post. Even though I am a registered user, they never seem to let me post. My posts were never in any way attacking or abusive, just sharing an experience or raising a question. Much of the threads there now seem to be a podium for a few select individuals to communicate with each other. They should stop that and directly e-mail each other if they wanted to talk to each other. AudioAsylum is by far a much better resource of information and eBay is a much better resource to sell or buy than Audiogon, in my opinion.
Albert Porter, etc] you're right-their forums absolutely suck. You can only post to a thread topic, not an individual post, so there's no linearity to a thread, and it can be hours before your post shows up on the thread. Really makes for some lively discussion. And that Lenco thread is a joke-if you did want to get some info from it, where would you start in a 3200+ post thread? It needed to be broken up a long, long time ago.
