Those of you criticizing Arthur for saying his dealer is the world's best need to work on your reading comprehension skills. The Title of the thread is "World's Best High End Audio Dealers." The word "Dealers" is plural not singular. That means there are many that would be on the list of "world's best dealers." Arthur is simply "nominating" a dealer that has treated him professionally and well after a ridiculous experience at another dealer. Other posters to this thread have an equal opportunity to then nominate a dealer. "Nominate" means to propose as a candiate for some honor. "Propose means to put forward for consideration, discussion, etc. Arthur is not stating this Portland dealer is the world's best: that's not what the word nominate means. Again, the heading of this thread uses the word "Dealers." Tell us your stories of great dealers. That is what putting forward something for consideration or discussion is about, which is what a forum is all about. Lighten up.

Sox - If you find a great audio dealer there should not be the need to do business with many, many dealers. There is a need based on the sheer volume of products on the market to explore a few but if you think that actually buying from fifteen different dealers is the way to go than we differ in out opinions greatly. I do think there are a few exceptional dealers in the USA let a lone the world. I'm simply stating that based on my multiple buying experiences "Chambers Audio" is almost in a class by himself. However if you work with the proper dealer they can save you a lot of time and money buy selling you great products to begin with.

......It seems to me in the context of your post you are relying on what “ArthurP” wrote in the SUBJECT line of his post. It also seems you are totally disregarding the unequivocal statement ArhurP wrote in the body of his post.I will copy & paste so as to help your reading and comprehension skills, \\\I am therefore nominating Chambers Audio as "The Worlds Best High End Dealer".///
Semantics aside, I made criticism of the original post for one main reason. From what ArthurP wrote he has dealt with less than 15 audio dealers in New York and 1 audio dealer in Portland. Yet with his miniscule experiences with audio dealers in the USofA, let alone the world, he can make a grand statement (again I will copy & paste for you) "The Worlds Best High End Dealer"
I am just a dumb-ass Aussie farmer slightly afflicted with Dyslexia but IMHO what ArthurP wrote in the body of his post (second last sentence on the 2nd & 3rd last lines) is unambiguous
I stand by my original post and any critisim implied or stated.

......... a dumb-ass Aussie farmer and you say it is ME who needs to lighten up?I should have known that your lack of communicative writing skills is somehow my fault.

and if you think all the world can figure out YOUR (one and only) sig line, YOU'RE the arrogant one that you (arrogantly) accuse others of being. Including the innocent poster of this thread who happily found a great dealer in his home country (the horror!).Guy.
