although i don't know the best way to pack them, i can reassure you that having mailboxes, etc. would be the most expensive way to pack them. they charge a ton if they pack anything for you but i'm sure they would probably do a good job. most likely cheaper to buy boxes and stuffing and pack yoself.

They hire minimum wage people, tell them to find a big enough box, put the object in, and fill with peanuts. This is not packing.

These clowns (in liason with UPS) managed to totally destroy a simple set of bookshelf speakers I'd shipped thru them. How hard is it to pack those correctly, for God's sake?

... why don't you try a local storage space rental facility or a U-Haul (or similar) DIY moving business? They'll generally have a variety of heavier duty boxes meant to move computer monitors, TVs, books, etc. Plus they'll have the packaging materials.
