    but I have heard them in a home system, driven by a DIY SE tube amp. No upper mid problem that I could hear, but it could be room or equipment dependent. I also did not listen at above average levels.

    Not the most "audiophile" speaker ever, but a step down the right road for the price.

  70's Sansui, Marantz, Kenwood or Pioneer off of E-Bay or at pawn shop for $50.
