I haven't heard any of the junk at Circuit City, but all of the CD paraphernalia from the high-end brands sound warm. I guess that's in reaction to criticism of the old, sterile, harsh sound. If anyone knows of a lean and cold modern day CD player, let me know. I need such a beast. I am sick and tired of this warm, slow, rounded-off, fuzzy, fat sound. It's the worst.
