No, the crossover is not bypassed. The terminals on the speaker feed into the crossover. The jumpers simply connect the two sets of terminals together for single wiring.I suggest starting simple and working up. First, biwire with one amplifier. Attach both speaker cables to one amplifier, remove the jumper from the speaker and attach one cable to each set of terminals.
I suspect this will work fine. Then try adding the other amplifier and moving one set of cables over to it. If it sounds bad I would wager that one of the amps inverts polarity. Reverse the + and - at the speaker for the second cable and I bet things will be fine.
