Thanks for the good wishes, but I'm not shopping for an amp. I found my amp quite a while ago and the only change I'll consider making is for a better version of what I've got! But I was very curious about the EVo and tricked Clark Johnsen into lending me his demo for a spell. That said, I believe there is something to what you say. I'm not sure it's the 805's, which are blessedly less clinical that Nautilus 805's, but I expect some mellower tubes in my BC 3, some Golden Cross in lieu of SPM, or Spendor SP 100's would bring the EVo back my way. In some ways, that would be a shame though. Mr. Stronzer (sp) clearly had a vision and I'm not eager to screw it up. And I expect a pair of EVo's would also change things some, though I wouldn't want to see that change alter the perspective of the EVo. There is, after all, clearly a place and audience for what that amp does. If two can do THAT better, great.
