Howdy

a .torrent file is (in essence) the instructions on how to download the real files. It's what you want BUT you need to have installed a torrent client first and if downloading the .torrent file doesn't automatically invoke the torrent client you should either properly configure the client to associate .torrent files with it or you can save the .torrent file somewhere, open the client and in the client explicitly open the .torrent file.

As stated many times before all I have found is various Windows versions including Vista but only an older version of MAC OS. I have yet to find a torrent client that works with MAC OS-X 10.5.2 "Leopard"? Until I find one there is no way in hell I can do anything at all with the file. So my original question one more time is there a BitTorrent client that works with MAC OS-X 10.5.2 "Leopard"?

    On my god I had no idea Nine Inch Nails was so bad, the worst of all was the very distorted fuzzy guitars, and even the drums sound distorted.
    
    This is the first time ever I have heard of bittorent and I download music a lot, so will I need this program at all since I don't like NIN's?
    
    I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing the MAC OS-X 10.5.2 "Leopard" download and have saved it. I will download it if I ever run into a bittorent again. I currently use iTunes which does 24 Bit 96kHz and I record to DVD using iDVD.
    
    I really should have listened to streaming audio of NIN's before downloading and would have but I found no listening link, I had to go to another site to hear The Slip and Ghosts.

      There are a ton of things released via torrent files, the question is if you're comfortable with fuzzy legality or not :D
      
      The whole deal with this was that NIN was releasing these files into the public domain free anyway (although technically, uploading torrents of freely-available files isn't needed and is frowned upon on private sites)...there are plenty of torrents out there on both public and private trackers, but the ones that aren't released freely are of questionable legality :)

        If anything smells of illegality or is peer to peer I avoid. Not only because of the RIAA hunters but also because a lot of shady stuff might have malware, spyware, viruses and other bad stuff. The only free stuff I get are the legal and safe Free DRM-Free MP3s from iTunes, Amazon and CNET's download.com.
        
        So far the only 24/96kHz high resolution downloads I have are test samples from legitimate sites. But in every instance except one the DVD-Audio or SACD version was much cheaper than the Digital download. That one site were the digital download was cheaper was www.highdeftapetransfers.net $18.00 download versus $19.99 (+) $3.23 shipping (=) $23.22 for the 24/96 DVD disc and I listened and wanted the MacDowell Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2. I tried a sample file and it turns out High Definition Tape Transfers is not compatible with MAC so I ordered the 24/96 DVD disc which is burned not pressed which should be impressive, I'll report back when it arrives.

  Try Transmission or azureus. Works fine. Transmission is a little easier to work with. You will also need xact to decode the files and Toast 8 to burn them onto a DVD. One issue I have had is that the track order seems to get confused with Toast on playback but there must be some sort of thing that I am doing wrong. I use Audio DVD creator on my pc laptop, that is a great program.

    Turns out I hate Nine Inch Nails after listening to streaming audio of The Slip and Ghosts.
    
    I currently use iTunes which does 24 Bit 96kHz and I record to DVD at 24/96 using iDVD. I still have not figured out how to get continuous play from iDVD, do you know what I need to do?
    
    So far I like DVD-Audio and SACD better than the high rez downloads, but in the future I am sure there will be high rez downloads that will not be available in the physical disc so I need to learn how to make one that is easy to play. Have you used iDVD or do strictly use Toast 8 and Audio DVD creator? And does Toast 8 or Audio DVD creator offer continuous play without having to use the TV menu?
