While doing my Christmas shopping yesterday, i came across a blu-Ray disc of The Last Waltz, on the liner notes it mentioned having both the movie and uncompressed audio. This particular disc has always been a question of which one should i buy? the uncompressed dvd-a or the movie with the footage. with the release of this new format, this no longer an issue.
I personally don't care if it'd not dvd-a or sacd or if it's hd-dvd or BD, I'm certain the sound will be the best that technology has to offer without having to worry about spec. I actually commend hardware and software companies for not releasing audio specs on the new formats, which, hopefully will prevent spitting matches, at least, within audiophiles.

"When they do fine people for spitting in the NFL. I guess in certain cases over here there's no penalty so it goes on a bit more than it needs to.
