In Reply to: Classic Records announces new HDAD Plus. Comments and a few questions. posted by Teresa on May 29, 2006 at 20:30:30:
I would prefer lower price and no CD. I will not listen to a CD when I have it on higher-resolution. I would probably rip the 96/24 track to listen at work. Also extra discs make the packing / jewel case more inconvenient and often takes us more storage space.
Maybe you should petition Classic Records? But there are many CD/SACD folks who do not have DVD players in their main system and Classic may be targetting that crowd. They are one of the few hi-rez companies not releasing SACD. AIX being another example. Do you plan to get any of the new AIX releases?

Follow Ups:
I'll be buying them direct this time instead of through a 3rd party to get his new sampler for free. I wonder if we could talk Dr. Aix into offering a special discount for Audio Asylum members, as I usually have to buy them from a DVD-Video seller to get a discount. As for the Classic Records new 192/24 Plus I have decided to splurge and spend $5.00 more and get the 200 Gram LP versions.
I'm exhibiting at the Home Entertainment 2006 show and offering 5 discs for $100 plus both the Start Here and latest sampler. SHipping is on me. Just order and mention the Asylum in the comments area...we'll take care of the discount.By the way, the Collectors Edition discs count as 2 discs.
Hope this helps. Thanks for the support.
