  SACD is a format that has been on the market for around 6 years , and has never achieved sales succcess , and is now seeing its poor level of sales continuing to drop .

  Just as I expected , DualDisc has quickly outsold SACD .

    The discs have a CD layer, stereo and MC SACD layers.

    It is what is being released that plagues the format. Now that it is basically just classical music, what is the market for that amongst music listeners?

    7 million is still nothing much, the man on the street has never heard of a DualDisc. And the young people, who represent the primary market for music, mostly download it these days.
