2003?Jackson Browne "Running on Empty" was announced in 2000.
Follow Ups:
do you still have any contacts with warner? what happened to the "flood" of titles that was hinted at?and come to think of it, are the niche labels like AIX and Arts Music planning on releasing any more titles? DTS Entertainment?
at one stage, my DVD-A collection was neck to neck with SA-CD. SA-CD has now shot way ahead at almost 4 times the size of my DVD-A collection (which has been pretty much static at around 60 since end of last year) and creeping up to a quarter of my CD collection.
and i wish sony music would reconsider their policy of not releasing DVD-As, or at least release DualDiscs with 48/24 or 96/24 LPCM tracks.

I haven't heard much from my Warner contact in ages. It seems like they always have an excuse. DualDisc was given full launch in October of last year, about 8 months ago and all we've seen is Warner's usual trickle of titles. At least they've had more output than Sony, but that isn't really saying much, is it.AIX has been releasing titles. They were in a slow period for a while, but Mark is on sabbatical for the next year so I expect that he'll be really getting some work done during that time. Mark put a lot of effort into the Paul Williams disc, and it shows. I'm not familiar with Arts Music, so I can't comment on their release schedules. DTS has been releasing the titles that are available to them on a regular basis as well.
I've got about 220 DVD-A and DualDisc, with about 200 SA-CD, but I'm not as much into classical as you might be. If I collected classical I'd probably have a larger SA-CD collection.
*** At least they've had more output than Sony, but that isn't really saying much, is it. ***LOL! You can say that again! :-)
What depresses me is that both Warner and Sony have *great* catalogs full of some of the most treasured recordings ever. Of course, the commercial imperative to release these titles on hi-rez may be dwindling, but it's a real shame.
i listen to all kinds of music, and i'm an opportunistic buyer - so i tend to pick amongst what's available rather than focus on a specific genre. i don't have many classical on DVD-A, but I do have some great titles (thanks to Martin419, who recommended a few really good ones on Teldec and Arts Music).
On SA-CD, correspondingly, i have more jazz and classical (and "old geezer" pop!). I'm amazed at the SA-CD classical catalogue - it's much more respectable than most of it's critics would give credit for. The other day I was bemoaning on the other forum about the lack of Ligeti, and lo and behold tunenut highlighted a disc that contained exactly the work I was complaining about. Imagine my surprise!
It's a pity I don't find any of the recent Warner DualDiscs attractive - not really into Rob Thomas, or Simple Mind, or Donnas ... not even Neil Young (I already have one of his albums on DVD-A, and decided he's not for me).
