Thanks GTcharlie,
I was thinking more of an upgrade within the same parameters. I've seen that there are some Silk Chokes on the Diyhifisupply web and I was wondering if they could be better sonicwise.

Hi Raul
Silk doesn't have an off-the-shelf choke that would be suitable, however the very first pair we made used some custom wound Silk chokes. Since then I've tried 3 different chokes (nothing exotic though) in that position and not noticed any difference. Possibly if we did a direct A/B we could pick up the nuances but we haven't done that. I also like to swap components to go higher but that choke needs to have the right l and dcr balance or it means tweeking the circuit since that stage is direct coupled. That means getting them custom wound and even then the dcr might be off.
I guess I will try that at some time in the future.
Watch for our soon coming monoblock Lux which has a whole host of significant upgrades AND using the 310a driver.

perhaps a choke with higher L might spell a bit of difference ... But then you have to check power supply first to ensure correct + and - voltages.
As is it is it models and measures flat. There is a delicate balance of L, DCR and size that needs to be maintained.
I was thinking to try some more exotic cores too.
