I am planning to replace the 47uf/450Volts Electrolytic Caps in the power supply of my tube amp. Size wise .. not much difference but the price is almost double (30uf/630 Film oil @ $19.00 vs 47uf/500v PSU film @ $30.00 ).
Is the Film Oil cap suited for my application or should i get the PSU film cap ?
Follow Ups:
Yes, the oil caps recommended for PSU. That is where they are most suited - damping PSU ripple.

Thanks for the reply brian . Have opened my tube amp and it seems i have problem fitting these caps inside the chassis.. and ofcourse the budget :) What will be the minimum capacitance for the FILM OIL caps to replace the 47uf Electrolytic cap ? Does a 22uf Obligato film caps do a good job ?? or should stick to the 47uf value ?

I replaced a series pair of Black Gate WT 220uF (net = 110uF) with a film/oil Obbligato 30uF 630V. No, it does not fit inside, anywhere. But, when you hear it, you will not care. Tidy is only important until you hear better ;)
Happy Ears!

PS Budgets are just excuses to drag your feet. Just sell your car ;)
That's cool !! Thanks for sharing your experience about the obligato film/oil . Did you also put a bypass cap ? what value ?
I had a 1uF film bypassing the 'lytic stack. None now.
