Mama jama!
There is something to this balanced mode headphone thing.
Yesterday I got the first sample of the balanced-mode cables for the Chazz II. More space, detail, air, dynamics and less grain.
The cable is complete with connectors to plug into the Sennheiser type. The difference is dual 1/4" phono plugs on the receiving end. Yes true balance! The hot is taken from the anode, the cold from the cathode -- no ground connection. Only the cable shield is connected to the plug body but signal does not see a ground.
The cable itself is teflon served copper and will sell for $45USD complete with plugs and Senn. compatible connectors.
So... we will include a cable free with Chazz II -- for the time being.
Also just testing a cable that will allow using the Chazz II as a linestage to drive an amplifier. 1/4" phono on the end that plugs into the Chazz II and RCA plugs on the end that connects into the amp. Also made from same teflon coax. So you can have the Chazz II do all its tricks through the main system as well. What tricks are those? Have you forgotten? Switchable 0/-3db/-6db local feedback, and choice of cathode output or anode output.

More importantly,is the Chazz II a balanced/fully differential circuit?
Anand.
