My system, amp and preamp are all tubes, so i don't want to have too much tubieness. The tubes in the CD players are there to smmooth things on the output side which works great for solid state gear.

Also streaming is very cool. Thousands of albums you've wanted to listen to, but didn't want to drop the money to buy. Try it. I bought a used Sonos Connect on epay for $250 U.S. All the music you can stand.

Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!
You're welcome. I understand. Then check out Schiit Audio. I like his SS output stages. No opamps. FETs used on the Yggdrasil I want. Sounds like you would want the Modi or Bifrost. Oh shoot you need a transport. Setting up a music server is easier than it sounds. Just start with an old computer with the PONO free software and go from there. You just may like having access to all your CDs from your phone or tablet. It really is the future.
The LP as still the ultimate in fidelity? I would suggest that title has passed to the 192/24 digital file. Give it a try. You may be very pleased with the way they sound with SET amps and high efficiency speakers.
