You can also get small cheap screens at the thrift stores.

The Blu-ray player will have an HDMI connection for the screen.
but if its not going to be a touch screen, id need a keyboard too?
sorry for my ignorance. somehow i thought this would be simpler :)

The navigation control is usually via the remote control that comes with the Blu-ray player. But you need the screen to see what you are doing. So you should have the control when you purchase the player. In some cases, subject to brand compatibility, a TV's remote may also control the player. There is amajor fly in the ointment though. As far as I can establish no Blu-ray players have been made with RCA analogue audio outputs since around the end of 2013. Furthermore I recall a thread earlier this year on one of AA forums which mentioned that the players with such outputs and manufactured in the last year of production had data to be sent to the analogue outputs converted to low resolution only with full Blu-ray Audio spec. being only available on the HDMI connection. I can't verify this but comments that I have found when looking around the web seem to support this possibility.
