  Thanks for the suggestions. I did lube the sled rails, and that helped a lot with the drawer. I am currently thinking that with both motors (or electronics) working badly at the same time, I may well have a power problem. I am planning to replace the electrolytic caps, and see if that makes a difference. I have also heard there have been cap leakage problems with the Levinson transports, damaging the PCBs, and I certainly don't need that.
  
  I really like the transport a lot, and plan on keeping it for as long as I can keep it going. Worth getting a working familiarity with it.
