Anyone upgrade these cables, for Music File Downloads?
Isn't the phone line cable a weak-link?
Every other kind of cable can be upgraded, what about the green phone line for Wall phone outlet to modem?
I'm on ATT Fiberoptic Network, still connects from phone outlet.
Audio quest doesn't seem to make phone cable, of course ethernet upgrade available.
Any go that far?

Getting newest ATT Modem, Ethernet in and out, tomorrow!
That will soothe my Upgrade -Fever.
For a minute...
Simple - Modem ans most other ditital tranfer techniques include buffers and error checking. The intent of these functions (Buffers and error checking) is to have some form of validation that the digital stream is intact - a single bit that is incorrect can cause the data transferred to byte the dust. If there is a problem, like in networking cable, what you call a "telephone" cable, the transfer rates my slow down, and if a real failure - shut the transfer down completely. There are higher and lower quality "telephone" cables. If used cheap cables successfully throughout my home - but the cost of a CAT6 cable is not significant. Note that the specification for CAT5 cable far exceeds the requirements for DSD and other digital audio transfer protocols like MADI -
though these standards recommend optical or shielded coax not just for bandwidth but also the robustness during installation.

Are you joking?
I'm on ATT Fiber Optic Network, but the connection to the Modem is by Telephone wire. Then ethernet to computer.
Just the facts, please!
The wire had a woven metal flex shield under plastic. The usual connectors. What brand?
