I'm thinking of putting together a small footprint system for a spare room with the little Spark amplifier.
Any suggestions welcome.

Tivoli Audio CD player, if you're not overly obessed about extreme lows or extreme highs, is an affordable and cute small footprint player.

A vintage modded/refurbished Sony Playstation 1 (SCPH-1001 or SCPH-5001 only). I have a few in my collection (among many other CD players) and I still prefer it over some other CD players for smooth, non-fatiguing sound.Cost = around $100 after refurbs and mods.

Woo Audio, 23 cm wide.
But it's a transport, not a player. They sell a matching DAC.
The Woo pair just showed up on A'gon this morning for $1580 asking. (Not mine and no connection to seller.)
47 Labs 4735 Midnight Blue CD Player: 6.1" x 8.27". Size is favorable but the MSRP is $3250. Great review at link below.
Then there's the Sparkler Audio S303A CD Player similar to the 47 Labs design in concept at $1450. 5.5" x 8.6" plus outboard PS: http://www.vkmusic.ca/Sparkler%20Audio%20S303.htm
If you have heard this, how does it compare with your reference 47 Labs transport + DAC?
Also, do you happen to know if there is a 47 Labs dealer in the Bay Area, as I will be there for a week in early March.
I haven't heard it and have no idea how it compares with my 47 Labs Shigaraki Transport + DAC with the optional 4799 PS, but I think it could be a contender for a small form factor one box player providing you like the NOS concept.
I don't know of any Bay area dealers so you would need to contact Yoshi at Sakura Systems about that. I believe Audio Arts in NYC carries it in case you have a stopover there.

I don't know of a single dealer.

I don't know if you're interested in buying from Canada ( or they will sell to you ) but the Canadian distributor has been present on CAM ( Canuck Audio Mart ) and seems to be well respected. He often offers good deals on various units. I think he is located in British Columbia.
I have never bought anything from him and only know of him through CAM so I'm not in the position to really recommend him or not.
Just a possible idea to explore. The low Canadian dollar basically gives you 40% off list so it's worth checking into.
Hi, mbnx01,
Audio Advisor lists the Cyrus CD T transport in their inventory but apparently the units are shipped directly from the manufacturer. See link.

Tom
I got mine barely used on EBay. Pierre at Mapleshade Records lists them on his website. I have no konwledge/opinion on this mods.
