every now and then, i get onto some new audio desire that i JUST HAVE TO HAVE!
the latest is to try one of those high end vintage pioneer CD players. and they are SO PRETTY TOO!
my system is mainly vintage, even the digital front end. currently running a theta DSPRO GENIII DAC with a pioneer CLD-79 laserdisc player as a transport.
gotta admit, the LD player next to a PD-93 would look pretty cool :-)
thoughts on this latest fancy? heck, i'd even entertain trading my Theta DAC for a PD-93.

I use an Elite 59-AVi universal spinner (DVD only) and it is a killer!
Mate it w/ a WireWorld HDMI cable and you are set.
$2000, obo. This is a very nice dedicated transport.Be the first on your block to own one!

I have a 93. It's quite a machine. Coincidently, I'm using it in my vintage system.I also have a PDR-99 that has been sitting idle for years (don't really need it). I have used it for recording but it surprised me how good it sounded as just a stand alone player.
I'll send you an email in case your interested in it.

I use an Elite DV-09 as a transport, built quality is exceptional (it weighs almost 35 pounds) and nice cosmetics. I don't think I have listened to the analog outputs so I cannot comment on sound, I purchased it because it outputs up to 24/96 digital for my DAC although there is not much source material available any more.
