Hi, haven't been here in awhile! Just moved to a condo, and assembling another audio system (again). I've always had a 2-channel set up with separates, but I've reluctantly agreed to put together something simpler, with as few cables as possible. So far, I have a smart TV and a pair of monitors/stands on both sides. I was thinking...an integrated amp and a Sonos connect? Or maybe a Marantz SA8005. We both have iPhones and MacBooks and many iTunes songs, as well as regular CD's. I would like to have the TV sound also coming from the speakers. My budget is $2K at the most. Your suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks, gg

This is a wired or wireless streamer/DAC/amplifier. There are optical and analog inputs, which could be used for the TV sound and a CD player (everyone has several old CD/DVD players sitting around don't they?) Plus it has a USB input for either a thumb drive or USB hard drive full of music.
I haven't heard the amplifier part of this, but I have the HEOS Link which does not have the built-in amplifier and it is very good, even just with its own built-in DAC (I use it with an external DAC though).
There is no display on the unit, you use an iphone or android phone or tablet as both a remote and display.
Just add whatever speakers fit your taste/budget/space.
Interesting 8 and 4 ohm power output ratings are equal. Not the norm for NAD.
How about small and inexpensive? Winsome Labs Mouse.2CH with about 40W,but no remote.

which seems quite impressive and versatile.
There's a thread in amps with a link at the link.
