you should wait for the review from christian punter of the ecdesign mosaic.
he told me that it will likely surpass his 10k rowland aeris and be his reference for best dac under 8000 euro.
check out ecdesignsprice should be around 2k.

Not sure about the limited connections, though, even though the low-mass connectors appeal on auditory grounds.If this is the same chap who designed the TwinDAC, then I'm interested - especially at the suggested price. The description on DIYaudio looks interesting too. ( Post #5418 onwards )

II previously had the sd-play sd-1 from john brown and the sound was so natural and transparent.
will report once I receive my mosaic 16t
