Brian-
this was my 1st CD player at that time. Very good and an excellent value.
Yamaha still makes a killer CD/SACD player even today.
This older player will sound dated, no doubt. It may even be an excellent transport for an additional DAC. The Sony ES + Pioneer Elite spinners fit this bill as well. Happy Listening!

I will be getting it soon in the mail as I won it online from Goodwill's Auction site!Payed $49.00 with shipping & Handling. The most I ever payed for a used CD Player! As for sounding dated my main CD player is a Magnavox CDB 473,which I'll never get rid of! In fact I own 2 of them! This Yamaha should be just as good sounding if not better!
Nice pic! Brian- keep me posted.
Here's a picture of the back of the actual unit I will be getting! That picture from my last post is of the actual CD Player I won too! I just hope it works ok & the Laser is not shot! Replacing Belts is one thing, but a bad Laser would not be good! Looks like it was well cared for though! Most of the Electronics from there are of better quality! They even had Micintosh stuff as well in the past!Because it is not EBAY but Goodwill's Auction site things go a lot cheaper most of the time! Now if I just can find the remote cheap enough!
