It's absolutely fantastic and so convenient to have all of my music in one place. Now instead of 6,000 CDs taking up an entire room they are safely boxed up, and having to load them into my Mac mini first creates a back up to the Sony. Of course none of that matters if it doesn't sound great which it certainly does. I even bought the matching integrated, which BTW is also pretty nice.

What are those other components? I am not familiar with Sony products

Hey! I have a blog now: http://mancave-stereo.blogspot.com or "like" us at https://www.facebook.com/mancave.ster
Top down:
Sony XDR-F1 HD tuner, Pro-Ject Tube Box phono stage
Sony 3100ES Cd/DVD/SACD player
Sony HAP-Z1ES server
Sony TA-A1ES integrated amp
That's an awesome looking setup. I bet it all sounds wonderful.
"Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells."
I probably sound like a Sony fan boy but I'm very happy with this system. I've heard more detailed amplifiers and I've also heard richer, more lush amplifiers but this one is imo a very nice balance of detail/richness. Factor in that it's a cosmetic match to my other gear and its relatively low price (vs similar integrateds) and it made perfect sense.
