better is usually better.
If you like your current Mytek product, I'm sure an upgrade within that product line will be a step up.
Good luck.

not that much and I won't be able to audition as I shall not be there
If you don't like your Mytek, I would pass on their more expensive models if you can't audition the DAC. There are always good prices available.
I don't like the display, control logic and their usb on the DSD192. Sound is ok but the output has dc which they say is ok but I don't like it.
Are you going into a DC amplifier directly? If not, why is this an issue?
What is it about the USB that you don't like?

It sounds ok but the Amanero and XMos on other dacs sound better. To me, it's slightly coloured. I am also bothered by the errors that crop up using the Cpl even though it is said to be 'unimportant'.
For a pro product, I also expect BNC 75 socktes to be so and not BNC 50 as fitted.
You have valid points.
What I like about my Audiogd Master7 is that Kingwa decided to power the Amanero internally with heavily regulated and filtered power and disconnect the +5v coming in from the computer. This imo really takes the crap out of the signal from dirty computer power. Since the Amanero outputs I2S there is really no need to use any converter to get IS2 to the Dac. This reduces the amount of junk/gadgets in the audio chain. Just a signal from the source which is converted to I2S using clean power with jitter measuring Phase Jitter 0.04~2.41ps (10Hz~1MHz), Total Phase Jitter (RMS) 2.42ps ...if you can believe the measurements.
The LKS Dual Sabre Dac I had did not have internally powered Amamero and you can tell with a bit of high frequency glare. I told LKS about this and they built an internally powered module which users could connect DIY. They might incorporate it into future products. Still the LKS was not all it could/should have been considering it had all the best components inside.

For the relatively high China price, the LKS uses medium quality LT1963 regulators only. If you want a real bargain, try out the AK4995 usb dac I bought for nothing.
can you relay more info on this? thanks.
Nice
But my stable is full of Dacs at the moment, trying to get rid of a Audiogd Reference 7 right now. I do like the AKM chip, but have yet to find a Dac that uses it well. Maybe sometime down the road I'll make that purchase.
Thanks for the heads up.....

I found two dacs better than my 192. Metrum Hex and Audio-GD Master 7
Neither one will do DSD so if you are into DSD I can't help you

up to DSD128.
Link below:
But the chips are R2R Ladder chips and they won't decode dsd. It has to be converted to PCM

until I get mine. ;-)
I think Mr. He Qinghua has a waiting list.
I got mine from Hong Kong in 5 days. Amazing

do not do DSD till I get mine.

PS The Master 7 dac will not do DSD
As I have no use for balanced outputs, I'll likely go with the DAC 19.
Sent off a email inquiry late last week, expect a reply this week, or so I hope.
There are more differences between the 19 and Master7 then just balanced outputs. The master 7 has 8 1704 chips while the 19 has 2. I don't even use the balanced output. The latest 19 also has the excellent Amanero input module that the Master 7 uses. Also the Mater 7 is a lot more money. All that being said I have heard the 19 (10th anniversary edition} at length and it is a great sounding dac. It was the 19 that got me interested in the Audio GD products. I had the funds for the Master 7 so I went there but you will love the 19. Enjoy

Or do you use single-ended or balanced XLR?
