Can't help because there have been no reviews of the Metrum yet. Out in September. You might want to read some reviews of the Metrum Pavanne to get a feel of its character

Thanks Alan...
The reviews I've read on the Pavane are generally positive.. The only negative comments I've read from some owners are about its OEM M2tech usb input software compatibility and stability issues.. Now I'm not sure if the Musette still uses the same M2tech usb input board or not, or if they recently fixed the bugs some owners experienced.. I guess I'll have to shoot Metrum mail soon.. Thanks again.
I was under the impression that when I got my new MacBook pro with Yosemite it would not work with my hex.Eventually HiFace developed a driver to take care of the problem but metrum felt it was taking to long to fix the problem so they changed the USB input away from the M2Tech. I will have to check if there other products are using a different USB input

Here is some info on the new USB input for the Hex. I would assume it will be used in the Pavanne and Musette

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the url link.
There are conflicting postings (from owners) in another forum about the Pavane's usb input board.. But at least it is evident from Metrum's site support page that the Pavane and Musette uses the latest USB 3 module. I am not sure if it is made by Amanero..
Here's Pavane's internal photo found in Metrum's site, the usb board is still the 'older' USB 2 module though:

But here in the 6moons review, if you look closely it already uses the USB 3 module:

In the review, the author found problems with the USB 3 board initially too, presumed something's wrong with it, and then tried the sent replacements (both 'fresh' USB2 and USB3 boards) with no problems afterwards.. Hmm...
