The Master 7 is a totally different dac from the Hex. I've just listened to some classical music streamed from Tidal and I have never heard any dac lay out a real symphony orchestra with natural dynamics.
I automatically hooked up the Jitterbug and Regen to the Master 7. Once the Master 7 fully breaks in I may pull out these two devices to see the effect. They definitely improved the sence of reality on the Hex.
The Hex is a great dac. The master 7 is shocking. If you have been in a recording studio control room and heard the live feed off the console that sound is what the Master 7 is producing. For some people they may not like this presentation but I love it. Twoo many years in the studio to forget that sound

Follow Ups:
Being a Hex owner myself & an Orchestral music listener I never really considered
how "dynamically open " sounding it was. I think the Hex is pretty amazing in how analog
sound it can be, but as far as Dynamics are concerned I think my Equi-Tech 1.5Q line
conditioner is responsible for allowing the Hex to pass them.
I had been using a PSA PP500 previous to the Equi-Tech. I was taken back by how much
my Noise Floor appeared to drop & how the transients of notes were quite a bit different from
what I had believed them to be on anything I listened to. I spent 4 hours 1 night early on,
having the 1.5,trying to find a recording that I didn't think sounded more acoustically natural !
I gave up ! (I gained a new respect for Recording Engineers that night, simply for the fact microphone placements made themselves more evident).
In all honesty, for Orchestral recordings to sound dynamically correct it has to sound slightly
"Raw" (Not harsh or steely sounding though) . More recordings than you would think get
this closer than you've normally heard them .
If the Master 7 appears to be handling things a bit better Dynamically it speaks volumes of
how good it must sound ! Enjoy it !
Your Equa-Tech is a highly regarded product. I use a regenerator and it also does the things that you describe. I loved my Hex. It is a great dac.
The Master 7 if you can believe is another world. Several friends who have heard it were stunned at its ability to extract information that they had never heard before yet remain very musical sounding

I guess what I was trying to say was (& appear to have failed miserably) was that the P500
didn't come close to accomplishing a level of completely involving natural sounding dimensionality ( more akin to live sound) the Equitech always does .
The Hex on its own (or with a Power Plant line conditioner in front of it) while very capable,
isn't as refined sounding . That the Master 7 does appear to explore the depths of this type
of sound implies that the PurePower conditioning may be more capable that the PP regenerator Or the Master 7s power supply may be a bit more capable for what the 7 is
doing .
I'm not even sure Equitech is still available to the Audiophile market, but would recommend
it over many component upgrades (If you luck into finding 1 at a more reasonable price; I paid a few hundred more than half of what I paid for my Hex). Do I think it is only half as important to the sound I'm getting as the Hex is ? Not in the slightest, the SQ ratio is much
higher than that.
It doesn't surprise me that you are hearing significant differences among your DACs. Both are excellent yet different. This goes against the school of thought by some that most DACs sound similar. I've had a couple somewhat pricey DACs that just didn't do it for me and a few sub $1000 DACs that I much preferred.
But the tough question for you might be, will you miss the Hex? After you've had the Audio-GD for a while you might be craving that Hex sound. ;-) But I think that is perfectly normal. I do that with solid-state and tube amps.
We will have to wait and see
My sale of my Hex fell thru so I now have all three of my dacs
Master 7, Hex, Teredak
