Any idea whether Spotify can be accessed in the same manner?

Oh I forgot in that long winded post really to emphasize the thing that makes it acceptable in terms of fidelity is definitely the APTx support.
Listening without Aptx was pretty awful as to fidelity, and it really makes all the difference. I would say their 160k datastream over Aptx sounds much better than if you put 320 over regular bluetooth. Such was the difference

I have a BDP-93 which is a fairly nice unit but for Spotify I took the short review from Stereophile and bought the Outlaw Audio BTR-100 for I think 40 or 50 bucks, which has the AptX codec support.
I then had to "discover" that APTX is far from ubiquitous in terms of bluetooth support and my new HP laptop does not have it intrinsically so I just popped for a 12 dollar Azio bluetooth USB dongle that supports it.
But anyhow, the audio quality is pretty much CD level - I have the Spotify membership which gives 320K streaming and no ads, but also the app functions much faster and smoother when you have a paid membership as I think the internal data links there likely give paid members a different "priority" sort of datastream.
Obviously CD level res is much higher but it sounds good on most material. Not sure which DAC is used in the Outlaw unit but it seems okay if a bit bass heavy - maybe on purpose as they figure many might be using it for compact systems. I use a sub so I just adjust it
Has to be some of best money I ever spent - once set up the "power" of such a selection of music is simply remarkable - and this is from a relatively luddite sort of guy LOL

Not at this time, I guess. I'm going to email Oppo and ask about possible future plans that might include ClassicsOnlineHD or others like Spotify. I'll report if I hear back.
thanks and keep us posted,
I received a prompt response from Oppo support to my question of future streaming options in addition to Tidal. I quote:
"The ability to support additional streaming services is something that we are looking into, but at this time we do not know if we will be able to add additional services outside of Tidal.

Fairly non-committal, but at least they acknowledge the interest.
at The Westin SFO this weekend.Being a local Northern California company they have, at least in the past, had quite a presence there. Even got an invite to visit the factory a couple years ago, but wasn't really sure if I should impose as I have no interest in Video.
Now I have an HA-1 DAC/Headphone Amp so perhaps I qualify.
I'll try to remember to ask.
