Hi !
i have been offered a Shanling M3.1 network player in very good conditions
I like the AES/EBU out option
I wonder if anyone has experience of this player.
What would be a reasonable price ?
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,
bg

"Asylums with doors open wide,
Where people had paid to see inside,
For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"
TIDAL, QOBUZ, DEEZER Elite, Spotify, Rhapsody and if not all of those then at least AirPlay.
Even my old Marantz NA-7004 has AirPlay, albeit not 'over the air' as it has no support for WiFi.
I think that keeping up with the various streaming sites, as they come and go and get bought and change, is going to be a problem for the manufacturers of streamers. Apple charges a rather reasonable licensing fee for AirPlay, about a buck or so per unit and an overall fee that is reasonable. That may be the ticket for folks who are willing to take a small hit in audio quality for the convenience of streaming.
And maybe not a hit in quality at all. Recall a room at RMAF with French gear that was streaming QOBUZ to demo their 'all in one box' streamer.
Sounded pretty good but their speakers sucked. =:-0
Hi and thanks for the reply.
I understand it has limited streaming options.
I have checked their site but founding very little support.
However it looks well built.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
bg
