Yes.
Using Metrum Hex, which is clear, extended at both ends and very musical,
Had Aqua La Scala II here for audition this past week and it is also very nice, with fullness and drive,
Expecting Metrum Pavane within the next two weeks.
Follow Ups:
What transport were you using with the La Scala? I assume it was not paired with their transport and all lashed together with the firewire connection. Would love to hear that combo.
If you use their transport, you would want to use their etherCON RJ45 (AQlink) input connection, also known as I2s. I tried using the I2s connection through an Off Ramp 4 but I could not get the Off Ramp to work with either of my sources, a tricked out Mojo Mac mini or the Antipodes DX. Steve Nugent is off line for a while (sort of a working vacation) so I will work with him to get the Off Ramp up and running when he is back at his business. BTW, I have found the Antipodes DX to be noticeably superior to the mini, which has a Mojo outboard linear PS to power both the mini and the outboard AV drive, an internal SSD, and optimization as a music server.
I do not play CDs any more, except to load them to the DX, so I have no interest in the Aqua transport. IMO, they should focus on either a server or a converter that outputs I2s. As is, the La Scala II sounds great with a direct USB input from the source. I hear a musically dense tonality and more body than typical for most DACs. I can understand why Darko and Srajan liked it so much.
Since you've had a number of interesting DACs through your system. Would you care to write back and tell us about how they all differ, once you've had a listen to the Pavane?

Will do.
Hope to get the Pavane this week but it may be next.
Metrum has had a tough time with casework quality slowing production to a crawl, similar to the Mola Mola amplifier situation.
One thing I can say now, I believe the Hex would be hard to beat for the price due to a musically involving sound and no noticeable errors of commission.
